Comodo Internet Security Earns the Prestigious VB100 Virus Certification

a leading Internet security organization, announced today that it has earned the prestigious VB 100 certification for its Comodo Internet Security product.

VB100 comparative testing is a regular independent comparison of anti-malware solutions. Each test report combines the unique VB100 certification scheme with in-depth analysis of product performance.

To earn the VB100 award a product must have been tested by Virus Bulletin and in those tests it must have demonstrated, in its default mode, 100 percent detection of In the Wild test samples and no false positives in a selection of clean files.

About VB100 Certification

The VB100 award is a certification of products which meet the basic standards required to be recognized as legitimate and properly functioning anti-malware solutions.

To earn the VB100 certification and display the logo, a product must:

   Prove it can detect 100 percent of malware samples listed as 'In the Wild' by the WildList Organization generate no false positives when scanning an extensive test set of clean samples.

All this must be done with default, out-of-the-box settings remote control helicopter in the VB lab environment.
