FT. LAUDERDALE, FLA – March 7, 2011 – Florida-based Ruden McClosky P.A. announces that Albert D. Gibson has joined the firm's Litigation Practice Group. In this capacity, Mr. Gibson will serve as an associate at the firm's Ft. Lauderdale office located at 200 E. Broward Blvd., Suite 1500.

Gibson concentrates his practice on commercial litigation, representing clients in matters involving complex business litigation; collection; foreclosure prosecution and defense; corporate law; and insurance defense including newsmatic.com">automobile, medical malpractice and premises liability.  He has served as lead plaintiff's counsel and lead defense counsel on both bench and jury trials, and has practiced as an appellate attorney representing clients before the Florida District Court of Appeals.

Gibson is a member of The Florida Bar, Business Law Section and Young Lawyers Division. He is a former member of the board of directors of the South Miami-Kendall Bar Association (SMKBA) and is a founder and past president of the SMKBA Young Lawyers Section.

Gibson is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.

Gibson earned his juris doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law (2007); a master's degree in business administration from Villanova University (2005); and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Delaware (2003).
